Love the Coffee Cabinet! Went in for a flat white and pancakes, service was quick and the staff are very welcoming. Pancakes were homemade and delicious! Flat white was so good had to immediately order a second one. They also sell some local art which I loved having a look through. Such a chilled atmosphere, could spend hours in there!

Adorable place with good food and coffee/tea drinks. Went here for breakfast- we got the full breakfast and the granola with Greek yogurt- both delicious. My flat white was one of the best I’ve had and my daughter really loved the iced chai.

On the final day of my trip to Edinburgh, I decided to visit The Coffee Cabinet, a quaint cafe conveniently located near my hotel, for breakfast. Seeking a relaxing start to my day, I was greeted by the cafe’s warm and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a memorable meal. One of the most notable aspects of my breakfast was trying haggis for the first time. Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish made from sheep's heart, liver, and lungs, finely minced and mixed with onions, oatmeal, suet, and spices, then encased in the animal's stomach and boiled. Despite its unconventional ingredients, haggis boasts a rich, savory flavor that is both hearty and satisfying. The dish was skillfully prepared and left a lasting impression on me. In addition to the haggis, I indulged in a stack of pancakes that were perfectly fluffy and generously topped with syrup. The combination of the traditional haggis and the comforting pancakes made for a delightful and satisfying breakfast. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a cup of The Coffee Cabinet’s exceptional coffee. The rich, aromatic brew provided the perfect balance to my breakfast and added to the overall pleasant experience. As I sipped my coffee, I reflected on the wonderful moments I had in Edinburgh, feeling a mix of contentment and nostalgia. After finishing my breakfast, I packed my belongings and prepared for my journey back to London. The visit to The Coffee Cabinet was a perfect end to my trip, allowing me to savor the local flavors and hospitality one last time before returning to work.
